Jon, Shoutlet is certainly a social media tool. It has a primary definition as a media distribution tool. After talking with several users of the tool at American Family, and Jason Weaver CEO, its does have some pretty good monitoring capabilities to track the distribution effort. It does not seem to be in the same category as Radian 6 for instance, that is strictly a means to monitor the social space conversation and collect all of it.
